Connect GitHub

GradePush uses one GitHub App per installation for sign-in, repository operations and incoming GitHub events.

#Create the GitHub App

Complete the installation first. In the setup wizard, choose the App owner and continue to GitHub to confirm the generated configuration. Return to GradePush and sign in to finish institution setup.

Your GradePush URL must be publicly accessible over HTTPS.

#Review permissions

Review the permissions shown by GitHub before confirming. GradePush needs access to create assignment repositories, configure test workflows and retrieve results.

#Connect an organization

As an authorized teacher, open Settings → Organizations, install or select the institution’s GitHub App and confirm the organization. The connecting account must be an active organization owner on GitHub.

Each teacher connects their GitHub account and joins classrooms by invitation.

#Check the connection

Create your first classroom and assignment. After a student accepts the assignment, open its repository link to confirm that the repository is ready.
